As it June we are now at Livingston Parkrun, with triple points on offer. There were some really impressive runs with 5 members finishing faster than their handicap, Sandy, Jonny, Liz, Emma, and Stuart H.
Stuart has been anxiously waiting since his very quick run at Beecraigs on the 17th of May for Saturday to roll round. Every morning he would wake up and check his knees, telling them you only need to stay sound until the 6th of June and we may have a trophy! With Maria and Eileen running very close to their handicaps the Commonwealth League is looking competitive.
Sandy, laid out a fast time to consolidate his place at the top of the Olympic League. There are only three more weeks for his rivals to record times as he prepares for the West Highland Way Ultra.
With Liz going 47 secs under her Handicap Claire will need to run 22:42 to match her net score, very tight in the World League. Previous winner Jim was only 14 secs off his handicap time, Gregor only 19 secs away.
Emma ran her fastest Parkrun since October last year to beat her handicap by 50 seconds. This makes the European League a bit tasty, as rumour has it Matthew is a very busy man and may struggle to fit in a Livi Parkrun in the next three weeks.
