With the sun bright in the sky at Beecraigs on Saturday there were 7 PBs out of 14 LRC runners, plus Paul who was a First Timer. Plus Karen and Lindsay who were on volunteer duty. Alan K was 1st overall and has a net time for May of -165 secs, nearly 3 mins faster than his handicap, to go top of the Olympic League. fresh from her age category win at the The Rigg Race Liz was also quicker than her handicap time to go top of the World League just ahead of Alan who was also quicker than his handicap. Since retiring from his retirement job Peter was found a yard and was also quicker than his handicap to go second in the European league. PBs from Alan K, Neil, Peter, Liz, Sally, Alan R and Phillip. It was also good to see Alastair back.
Only one week to go to record a time at Beecraigs, double points at stake. Will Ted find his way round having finished 2nd in his age class at the Scottish Orienteering Champs on Saturday, Will those that ran in the EMF dazzle everyone with their new bright blue T Shirts? Will Clifford face his demons and tackle the hill or will he just stop at the coffee shop on the way to the start?
