As we are into May all country roads are heading to Beecraigs Parkrun, as voted by club members. All 18 LRC Spring Handicappers either ran a PB or were first timers, the first time that has ever happened in the five years of this series. David G posted the fastest time of 22:04 only 25 secs outside his handicap. Matthew, looking to add 200 points to his near maximum score in April, was an impressive 37 secs quicker than his handicap. The only other person under their handicap was Alan Weir, then again he practically lives in Beecraigs! It was a close shave between Drew and Kirsty G with only 1 second separating them at the finish. Similarly, with the Turnbull "cousins" Joanne and Mags. It was good to see previous winner of the Spring Handicap Jim A back running again. Stevie "I love hills" had a good run to finish 1 sec ahead of Stephanie and potentially close the gap at the top of the Commonwealth Division. Stuart H would need to run 29:19 to get a better a Net time than both of them, perhaps those hills at Dunfermline PR will give him the edge he needs to win this division.
