The 165th running of the Auldcathie Parkrun saw temperatures barely rise above freezing and a howling wind that many thought would put paid to fast times and PBs. However, they were wrong as Matthew ran an all time Parkrun PB by well over a minute, a really impressive performance in tough conditions. There were actual course PBs for Richard, Rory, Stephanie and Andy. In fact it looks as father and daughter may well top the Commonwealth League for April. LRC Club Chair Kirsty, revealed that she thought she was also on a for PB until she overtook Stuart, Peter and John J and sadly realised that they were sheltering her from the really strong headwind. Eileen has obviously been talking to Sandy, as she was complaining that her fastest time last year was on a pancake flat course in nice weather. Shout out to Fraser who is seeking to regain the fitness that saw him compete over the winter for the club in Cross Country races, special shout out to Tosh who had to listen to him for 35+ mins. Stuart posted the fastest male time so far with Lesley still the fastest female.
One of the old heads had decided he still had young legs and placed himself in a prominent position at the start but enough about Mick. Vic forgot she was now living in Scotland and went with a short sleeved shirt and hoped it would warm up, hopefully she will learn soon. On the other hand Alex turned up looking like a younger (taller and better looking) version of Jim A and only removed some of the five layers due to peer pressure.
So far 40 entrants have made it along to Auldcathie in April, only two Saturdays left to record a time or attempt a faster time. After two weeks the highest placed in each League are Sandy, Rory, Matthew and Stephanie respectively.
Worth noting that LRC had five of the first seven female finishers, Abbie, Vic, Kirsty, Amanda & Abigail.
Thank you to Stevie for barcode scanning, must have been cold.

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18HLUbXhKm/Attached is a table of best NET times so far. Apologies to Liam that this was not included last week, although I do suspect that he will be near the top of the table for most of this series.
