LRC Spring Handicap New Handicaps for May 2025

The new Handicaps for May 2025 are in the attached files section. These are based on your second fastest Parkrun time from your last ten Parkruns. We think this is the fairest way to adjust the handicaps as it probably best reflects your current form.

Interestingly, the top 2 or 3 in each League are significantly worse off this month compared to April. So they will have to work much harder for the double points on offer this month. In the Olympic League, James is just over a minute worse off but has a small cushion. Ryan (you are just out to get me) Ferguson is nearly 3 minutes better off, surely he will make huge inroads this month at Polkemmet.

In the World League both Harris and Lana are both worse off by 2 mins and 1 min respectively and may struggle to maintain their positions given the new Handicaps for Omar, Hazel and David.

The top 3 in the European League have had huge cuts, quite rightly, to their Handicaps. In fact the top 8 have all seen a reduction in this League. Kirsten P looks the most likely to capitalise on the changes.

The Commonwealth League has probably had the biggest changes, with the two Mags seeing there handicaps cut dramatically and Clifford, Andy, Philip having big improvements. JT is now a minute better off and poses a threat with double points, especially after her recent warm weather training.

Final Notes.
1 Last years runner up is now 183 seconds better off but will need to overcome a recent injury which is proving to be a pain in the bottom.
2 Suspiciously, a pillar of this community is now 6 mins 55 seconds better off with his new handicap. Interpol have been alerted and we wait the outcome of their investigations.
3 Sally has been given her third fastest time as her second fastest was the same as her fastest, it seemed fair given the previous note.
