This was the final week of the Spring Handicap (Chariots Edition). The title was a nod to the legendary runner Eric Liddell, who ran 8 races over 4 consecutive days to come home from the 1924 Paris Olympics with a Bronze in the 200m and a Gold in the 400m, as well as setting an Olympic and World record in his 8th race, the 400m final. He also gave up the very real possibility of medals in the 100m, 4×100m and 4×400m as these involved running on a Sunday. More of his life story can be found here
Eric Liddell They also made an Oscar winning film about him and his fellow GB runners called Chariots of Fire.
