We have now come to the end of two months of Parkruns. Philip has established a 3 point lead at the top of the points table, however his handicap has been cut by over 5 mins for June. Drew ran another PB this weekend to squeeze into the Champions League. With double points up for grabs in June all three Leagues look competitive. Your points so far have placed each runner in League for the final month of June, which is at Livingston Parkrun. There are five weekends available this month to record your fastest time.
All three Leagues look really competitive this year. It looks like a two horse race in the Champions between Philip and Jude, with only 11 points covering the next 9 runners.
In the Europa League, only 11 points covers the first 13 runners. With Edinburgh Marathon winner Moray only 3 points off the lead, although he has never ran Livingston Parkrun I am sure a handicap of 16:03 puts him in with a shout. Then again a case could be made for Sandy, Claire, Clifford, Callum and Mags B. Club Chair Kirsty and previous Champions League winner Jim are only few points off the lead and pose a real threat!
At the top of the Conference League we have 6 runners within 5 points of each other. Inaugural winner Alan R has a habit of running well in the better weather, something about old bones appreciating the warmth. Consistency has been key for Danny, Alan K and Euan so this looks a tight one to call. Although, Liam does look as if he coming into a bit of form at the right time.
In the files section you will find two documents, the final results for May and the new handicaps and Leagues for June. This does look like the most exciting Spring Handicap yet.
